Honi Honi

This is a Hawaiian kiss…a Polynesian greeting wherein two people press each other’s noses and inhaling at the same time. This ritual is very honorific as it represent the “ha” breath of life and “mana” the spiritual power between two people. This is common during wedding rituals but not limited to that. You can honi your child, friend or anyone you want to be affectionate with. Today, I’m sending lots of honi honi from across the sea! As always, my warm Aloha and malama pono.
